The Lazies of the Group Project

Your back hurts, huh? You’ve got a bad back?

No, you don’t. You have an AMAZING back.

Have you ever been the only one in a group project doing all the work? I have.

I was alright at first, picking up everyone’s slack.

Then, I started getting a bit tight.

Then, fatigue started setting into me.

Then, I just got frustrated with my teammates and said, “Look, I’m on lockdown. I’m not doing ONE MORE THING without being a pain to you. You will hear me gripe until you help me out.”

That is your back – the overachiever. Things are usually hurting when they are working.

You don’t have a bad back. You have lazy hips, or a lazy thorax, or stiff ankles, or ab muscles that don’t sequence well.

Your low back is not the bad guy. He’s the really tired good guy, finally stating, “I NEED HELP HERE.”

Get the lazies to do their jobs. Get assessed and corrected.
