David: You’re moving too fast, Jo.
Dooley: But it doesn’t feel all that fast. It feels good.
David: It’s fast. It’s all happening fast. So you have to be the one to slow it down.
Not everyone is lucky enough to have a best friend like mine. This man will HeyTell message me, just to remind me of this:
“Take a break, Jo. Five minutes. No work. No weights. No school. Just you.”
People may not feel like they’re moving too fast, when they’re moving too fast.
Listen to those around you.
Surrender knowing yourself better than anyone else knows you. You might not know you.
It’s tough to be subjective AND objective. Listen to others – accept the objective. One doesn’t have to take constructive criticism as destructive feedback.
Don’t go there. Listen.
You don’t know you as well as you might think, and you are absolutely the only one that can change you.
Accept the feedback and subjectively apply it as you see fit.
