I spend the majority of my day coaching patients on what they could be doing better. It’s equally important to point out what they’re doing right.
I’ve been encouraging patients to study people around them. What the observed by-stander could improve is a check to make sure you, too, are doing what is best.
Just don’t forget to point out what they are doing right, so you can emulate that, too!
Look for the people letting their head hang in front of them. Then, seek out the people with a neutral spine.
Hopefully, the latter includes you.
Watch those people that cock their hip, slouch, or hunch, versus those who stand up straight.
Hopefully, the latter includes you.
Watch people quietly breathe. See if they sigh and chest breathe, versus quietly breathing through the belly.
Hopefully, the latter includes you.
Note the people eating junk food, versus the ones snacking on nuts, fruit, or veggies.
Hopefully, the latter includes you.
Inspire and be inspired. Note where we all go wrong and what we do well.
