Social Media as a Mocking Tool

I had the honor of being around some of my beloved colleagues this past weekend at a seminar.

One brilliant colleague shared with me that someone – to which he refers patients – mocked him by reposting his status on a mutual friend’s wall.

I’m always honored when my colleagues trust me to care for their clients and patients. I can’t even fathom turning around and mocking these same colleagues on a public forum – or AT ALL.

It’s unfathomable. From a practice perspective, it seems like a terrible business move. From a personal perspective, it seems just plain foul.

No matter how much you can squat or how great your diagnostic skills are, I’m more impressed if you have warmth and approachability coupled with your abilities.

Hopefully, these types of practitioners will weed themselves out along the way so the rest of us can use social media to get some good work done.
