I Wish

Before my 12-hr patient load yesterday, I wanted to get warm and ready by doing the snatch test with the 12 kilo.

After it was over, I thought, “I wish I were 123 lbs. That was significantly easier than the 16.”

Feel free to reprimand me from afar.

What a terrible attitude that was! I wish I were smaller? NO.

I work hard. I feel awesome. I’m in this skin, and I love this lady as is.

And when I was 120 lbs, I was the sickest I’ve ever been. Über lean is not healthy on this particular lady.

So, I shall continue to do the snatch test with a 16 kilo. I will not complain that I “have” to do it. I’m proud to do it. And I’ll move up to the 18, then 20, completing those 100 reps in under 5 minutes, attempting to make every rep as clean in technique as I can do.

Wishing to be smaller is pointless. I’m built a little bigger, and that’s okay. You can be strong and healthy in any skin.
