I’ve seen my share of people doing a deadlift, just to pick up their shoes with rounded backs.
I’ve seen a diligent commitment to core exercises, just to breathe from the chest all day.
Are you doing your rehab drills twice daily? Great.
Are you undoing your rehab by not altering your movement flaws thought the day? Maybe.
This needs to be brought to your attention. You might not even release you are hurting yourself, while undoing the good you were focused to do.
Since most people carry their phones like a fifth appendage, you might as well make that phone work for you.
Some tips:
1. Standapp: This smartphone application reminds you to stand at the intervals you choose.
2. Set alarms for breathing and home drills, so you can spread them throughout the day.
3. Stop to think about how you pick up EVERYTHING. I see more people hurt their backs picking up their kids than squatting or deadlifting.
Don’t expect a twice daily commitment to your home drills to undo how you hurt yourself all day. Get committed ALL DAY.
