Completing Yourself

Someone just called me the Jerry Maguire of chiropractic, because I give so much personal attention.

Good analogy – only I’ll never say, “You complete me.”

You complete yourself.

In my teens, I remember thinking: “If I only had someone to inspire me, I’d be better.”

In my 20s, I started to understand that was the co-dependency anthem.

Men have come and gone in my life, but I’ve never been remiss. I’ve enjoyed their company, and I’ve moved forward with fondness and lessons learned.

But I will never be broken. This is because I’m no one’s other half. I am complete within myself.

If we are trying to fill a void with other people, then we deconstruct if it doesn’t work.

That is destructive, not constructive.

Do work. Complete yourself. Then, you can walk with someone not as a crutch, but because you simply want to share your greatness.
