I watch an influx of chest breathers in my practice. In fact I have NEVER had someone walk through my door and initiate belly breathing on a standing breath test.
It tends to come from the chest, with shoulders raising as they inhale.
Since this is globally problematic, I thought it necessary to discuss proper rib movement during normal, healthy respiration.
