Last night, I attended my first Cirque Du Soleil, a thank-you present from my awesome SFG II training partner, Marc Andresen.
To say I was in awe does not quite cut it.
While watching these athletes perform the seemingly impossible, all my own goals felt small – and completely doable.
A one-arm push-up is a far cry from a back tuck triple twist – from a see-saw!
These amazing athletes risked their lives to entertain us. I’m not exaggerating, either! These feats looked impossible, yet they performed them in smiles and in full stage makeup, in front of hundreds.
Being in awe for three hours last night happened to knock something loose in me. I feel an inhibitory chain was unlocked, and any remnants of fear are leaving me.
I not only know I will have my one-arm push up, but I’ll have 5 – if I want them. All it will take is time and commitment without fear impeding my attempts.
If the Cirque athletes had fear, they certainly didn’t let it stop them.
All goals are possible. You just have to get out of your own way.
As always, it’s your call.
