The Papercut

Dooley Noted: 10/28/2014

Yesterday, I gave myself a painful papercut.

I can state with relative confidence that this has happened to most of us.

The pain was nagging and consistent. But we all know a papercut seldom leads to bigger problems.

When you have the discomfort, though, it’s at the peak of your attention.

Since my speciality is movement rehab, most of the people who walk into my office have pain.

The pain producers are more often than not simple papercuts. They irritate the patient just enough to be in the center of their forefronts.

Pain can often be tricky. Pain does not always mean that tissue injury is occurring. To complicate matters, not all people that have structural problems have pain!

So, start to think of your pain more like a papercut. It’s annoying and often misconceiving. But with the correct treatment, it rarely becomes more serious.

Get your “papercuts” assessed and corrected by someone qualified to help you.

As always, it’s your call.
