People Who’ve Changed Me: Part 23

Dooley Noted: 5/20/2015

The Person: Kimberly Dooley Jones

Profession: antiques trader, entrepreneur

How I know her:
Kimberly is my older sister by ten years.

How she’s changed me:
I feel I owe my sister tuition for the life lessons she has taught me.

From a very young age, I learned from paths she wish she had not taken. I saw the repercussions so I could avoid the same mistakes.

On the converse, she has taught me the power of family and the beauty of forgiveness. She never holds a grudge with her family, and she understands the power of empathy and love.

She inspired me to see addiction potential as a commonality between people, whether it’s a personal struggle or struggle with a loved one.

She has shown me that rehabilitation is not the easy path but a righteous, daily effort and discipline to not just survive – but to thrive.

Her responses to a list of questions, each with a three-word answer max.
