You will work hard to achieve your goals.
You will work tirelessly and put the best of intentions into your job.
And many people will benefit from your care and efforts.
But there are sharks in the water.
People will build you up to kick the pedestal down – for their own amusement.
Sometimes, it’s jealousy that fuels that fire.
Many times, they will climb on you to get closer to their goals.
You will meet these frustrations on your pathway to success.
You are not immune.
Prepare yourself.
You may choose to rip phone books.
Do pull-ups.
Deadlift.
Run a marathon.
Hit a punching bag.
Meditate.
Whatever you choose to vent your frustration – please don’t let these people destroy you.
The sharks in the water may even look like your friends.
But true friends would never knock others down to build themselves up.
The adversity can renew motivation to live a life committed to your mission.
You can let this as adversity hinder your progress.
Or you can use it as fuel to propel yourself past the sharks.
As always, it’s your call.
