When It’s Difficult

Dooley Noted: 6/10/15

All day, every day, I hear these words:

“But it’s SO hard.”

Well, of course it is.

You’re in my office for a reason – and it isn’t for me to confirm what you’re good at doing.

We all need to be taken to the next level.

We need to do more things that are hard.

Yesterday, I watched a video of my business partner deadlifting 660 pounds.

He didn’t tell me it was easy.

He said, “It was heavy.”

He’s not afraid to do what’s hard.

You’ll hear it around Catalyst SPORT, people saying the words, “That was hard.”

And we go back for more.

It’s easy to make excuses.

It’s easy to tell yourself not to do something that’s challenging.

And every single thing in my life that has value has been achieved through difficulty.

If it’s difficult – but you really want it – keep going.

Don’t talk yourself out of things you want because it’s a tough road to get there.

Or, let the goal drift away and go about your life.

I hope you choose a hard – but accomplished – life.

As always, it’s your call.
