A Moment of Distraction

A Moment of Distraction

I don’t get an opportunity to drive much.

But when I do, significant things happen.

I was highway driving and got distracted by a rouge water bottle.

Within a moment of distraction, I hit a pothole and nearly ran myself from the road.

Had I let it fully distract me, someone may have gotten hurt.

While I spared the traffic (and myself) from anything traumatic, the distraction made me think about goals.

It’s so easy to distract oneself from focus.

The world is full of stimuli, and nothing is static.

On the road to our goal, we will be smacked with potential distractions.

But stay the course, and you will get to your destination.

The goal road must have a juggernaut focus in order to be obtained safely and efficiently.

So, do your best to cut the distractions.

If you are losing weight, don’t let dinner parties derail you. Stay your course.

If you are trying to deadlift 500, don’t let pressure from friends distract you. Lift. Then, hang out with them. Or, have them deadlift alongside you.

Distractions are like excuses.  They are limitless.

But your potential for focus is also limitless, should you not let moments of distraction derail you.

I hope you minimize the distraction and stay your course.

As always, it’s your call.
