Seldom in life do we get a chance to relive an event.
I recently had this opportunity.
Déjà Vu ran quickly through the confines of my mind, digging up memories I worked unknowingly to bury.
I realized my first attempt was not accepted by universal law.
So, history repeated itself.
And I made sure I learned from my mistakes.
This time – I was granted a do-over.
This time – I listened intently.
This time – I did not put my wants in the place of another’s needs.
This time – I didn’t run when I was disappointed.
This time – I used pain as an educator and not an excuse to walk away completely.
If you are lucky enough to find yourself in the middle of a do-over, please consider your previous actions and reactions.
Learn from your failures and mistakes.
Do a better job this round.
As always, it’s your call.
