Chiropractic Malpractice

Dooley Noted: 7/23/2015
This morning, I treated one of my patients with chiropractic and rehab techniques.
He happens to be a medical malpractice lawyer here in New York City.
I asked him how many cases ofchiropractic  malpractice he has seen over the course of his career.
He said, “Not a single one in 15 years.”
He noted, without my prompting, that he worked for an enormous firm.
He added, “We just don’t see it.”
He’s a very medically minded person, and to see me at all initially was quite a stretch for him.
But I came on a solid recommendation, and he trusted the word-of-mouth reference.
If one reviews the research, one sees that the incidence of issues with chiropractic is extremely low, making it one of the safer types of medical rehabilitative treatments.
In fact, the chiropractic malpractice insurance I pay is one of the lowest rates of any licensed health professional.
If you’re nervous because of scare tactics and typically fabricated stories, please have peace of mind that the people actually doing the research show that it is safe.
Also, the lawyers defending cases also note they see minimal cases regarding chiropractic malpractice.
Don’t be afraid to bite the bullet and get yourself assessed and corrected.
I highly suggest finding someone certified in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). These chiropractors are quite conservative like myself, and we also match necessary adjustments with rehabilitative techniques.
As always, It’s your call.
