The Person: Jim Horn
Profession: physical therapist and owner of Chelsea Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation
How I know him:
I had the honor of co-caring patients with Jim when we worked together at Manhattan Spine and Sports Medicine.
It was my first experience working alongside a physical therapist.
How he’s changed me:
Jim’s training at Columbia University definitely shined through with his utmost professionalism and respect for colleagues.
He wasn’t pretentious or degrading to me, as I was coached would happen to me if I worked alongside a physical therapist. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
I was most impressed with the conversations Jim would spark, regarding therapeutic strategies and human movement.
Jim got me talking more about my assessment methods. His thought-provoking questions helped shape my early process of clinical auditing.
He may just be realizing this for the first time, but he was a vastly influential part of me deciding to open a facility where like-minded movement professionals could collaborate without borders.
So, Jim, thank you for fueling the drive that became Catalyst SPORT.
I was able to give back to Jim as his lead instructor for NeuroKinetic Therapy seminars for levels I and II. And we currently co-care difficult cases.
Jim, thank you for a beautiful, reciprocal professional relationship! It’s an honor to know you.
