On Friday, NYC traffic and trains were not my friends.
I raced to the airport to catch a nonstop flight to San Diego.
As I reached the epically long security line, I begged the TSA officer to let me skip to the front of the line as to not miss my flight.
She had the power to send me to the front.
She denied to let me go to the front, knowing I would miss my flight that was taking off in 30 minutes.
She had the power. She chose to yield it in a negative way.
As a doctor, instructor, and gym owner, I know I’ve been given the power to help people. I’ve chosen to yield that power and create positive results.
I believe if you have the power to help people, then you should.
As I missed my flight and had to rebook it, I walked up to the TSA officer, Miss Hodges.
I let her know that she could have helped me, but instead, helped me to miss my flight by mere moments.
As I walked away, I vowed to work harder to help people when they request my assistance.
If you can help others, perhaps you should.
We can all use a hand.
As always, it’s your call.
