People Who’ve Changed Me: Part 37

Dooley Noted: 8/26/2015

The Person: Dr. Jacob LoTurco

Profession: doctor of chiropractic, owner of clinical practices in Denver and in Rochester, fitness competitor

How I met him:

I met Dr. LoTurco when he was a student in NYCC’s doctorate in chiropractic program.

He challenged me by asking the bony attachments for the lateral costotransverse ligament. When I didn’t know the answer, he made sure I found it for him.

He was the first student to show me I can not know the answer but I must work to find the answers.

How he’s changed me:

Dr. LoTurco was the first person to program weight training for me. He taught me the power of structure and commitment to a program. Today, I still find these components to be crucial to success towards achieving any life goal.

Dr. LoTurco taught me the importance of combining both bodybuilding and compound movements for ultimate strength results.

He also taught me the power of continuously working on self-improvement.

Although I met him 7 years ago, his strong influence set the stage for me incorporating fitness into a chiropractic rehabilitative setting.

He was a major catalyst to Catalyst SPORT, making an idea a feasible reality.
