Some people say you can’t believe in anyone until you believe in yourself.
I’m not sure it works that way.
Perhaps people see us in a different way than we can envision ourselves.
I’ve had an influx of emails recently, with people stating things like the following:
“I’m going back to school because of your influence.”
“You helped me to believe in myself enough to quit the job I hate.”
“I never saw myself doing these things before I met you.”
If you are currently in a place where you don’t believe in yourself, then perhaps you need to look through someone else’s lens.
Listen to others that are trying to catalyze you.
Then, search for the strength within yourself to try what they suggest.
I did this. Now, I do it for others.
You might be like me, doing things you never saw yourself doing – from pull-ups to deadlifts to tearing phone books.
Looking through another lens might give you a whole new perspective of your capabilities.
As always, it’s your call.
