People Who’ve Changed Me: Part 50

Dooley Noted: 11/25/2015

The Person: Isang Smith

Her Profession: Olympic-level sprinter, licensed massage therapist for Catalyst SPORT, masters student of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM).

How I know her:
I met Isang when Fabian Cabrera, a masterful trainer, brought her to Catalyst SPORT to treat clients, a large bulk of which were from the NYC running community.

How she’s changed me:
Isang is a phenomenal sprinter and an even better person. She shows her commitment to balancing weight training with running to keep the body strong and resilient.

She also supports the use of TCM and massage as important therapies for athletes.

She is a huge weave in the Catalyst fabric, with her infectious smile and her unequivocal athletic prowess.

But by far, Isang’s most impressive quality is her humble nature. I’ve never heard her be egotistical – although she can outrun every tribe member at Catalyst!

Prepare to see her in the Olympics someday.

I’m honored to know her and even more privileged to share patients with her.
