I am a chiropractor and anatomy instructor.
I lead worldwide seminars.
I am single and without children.
I am a strength enthusiast.
These things do not make me less of a lady.
I see a phone book and I immediately think of tearing it in half.
I feel the same about a deck of cards.
These things do not make me less of a lady.
I want the men and women around me to not be intimidated by my strength, since they have power all their own.
I want to deadlift more than twice my bodyweight. Maybe even three times it.
These things do not make me less of a lady.
Ladies are not seen nearly enough on the weight floor, lifting heavy things.
They are encouraged to take “toning classes” that will never make them more “toned.”
They crowd cardio machines, under false hopes the machine will get them “lean.”
Ladies, take the classes you like and do whatever activities you desire.
But if you want to tap into your internal power, it’s likely found elsewhere.
You can do incredible things.
You can do pull-ups and one-arm push-ups.
You can tear phone books and bend steel with your bare hands.
You can build a family as you build your tissues to withstand any injury in your way.
You can do things you may think are out of your reach.
And as you deadlift weight or pull yourself up to a bar, trust me that you will feel every bit of a lady as you do it.
As always, it’s your call.
