People Who’ve Changed Me: Part 56

Dooley Noted: 1/15/2015
The Person: Kristen Kern Chadha

Her Profession: student/funeral director

How I met her:
I met Kristen when she started dating one of my best friends, Dr. Monica Chadha. We hit it off immediately with a mutual love of the human skull, as well as all things anatomy related.

She became the wife of my best friend, and I’ve been honored to spend a minimum of four weekends per year with her.

How she’s changed me:
Kristen decided to take our anatomy course with Immaculate Dissection I: Core Concepts last July in Toronto. She does not have an anatomy background past funeral direction, so she felt she might be a little bit behind the therapists with their extensive anatomy knowledge.

She proved her hypothesis incorrect when she not only was able to understand the information, but applied it immediately.

Her brilliance and focus showed me that the ID seminar was not just for manual therapists and trainers. She showed me that the seminar was applicable to all people, particularly since all people have to know how to breathe and move!

She’s the epitome of fearlessness and attentiveness – my favorite qualities in a student and in a friend. I’m honored to call her an ID colleague!

Her answers to a list of my questions:
Hobbies: reading, video games, music
