Success and Money

Last night, I had an interesting conversation with a friend about success and money.

He noted that success and money are often thought to be equivalent in our culture.

I agreed – and then gave him a complete antidote to that notion.

I have patients that sometimes have considerable material wealth…but it doesn’t mean they will be successful in getting rid of their pain.

These are the patients that constantly reschedule – often times, at the last minute.

They may even get upset by your last minute cancellation policy.

Or, they simply don’t commit to their program.

So, no matter if you pay the cancellation fees or book more appointments, the spent money alone doesn’t determine your success.

Success cannot be bought – at least not in my book.

In fact, my most successful patient to date – one that inspires me daily – is a scholarship patient.

The exchange of money is crucial to run a business in our days and times.

But without the drive to complete a goal, you may not get the most out of the services for which you paid.

Show up.

Pony up.

Work hard.

Don’t squabble over last minute cancellation fees.

Pay them.

Then show up next visit.

Be successful and thankful for someone to be devoted to you.

Utilize the help.

Get to your goal.

But to do that – please know it’s going to take much more than a visit fee to be successful.

As always, it’s your call.
