We spent a beautiful weekend in Montreal, introducing the city to Immaculate Dissection I: Core Concepts.
The brilliant, eager group learned about the functional anatomy of building intra-abdominal pressure, while we crawled, performed dead bugs, and ripped phone books.
For all the fun and amazing learning that occurred, the ID crew was smacked with travel problems. New York City was experiencing a blizzard, and flights weren’t coming in.
It’s challenging, being trapped in a foreign country with no way home.
Adversity started to hit us at all angles.
Flights were canceled and rebooked, only to be canceled again.
Trains left without us, as other flights didn’t even notify about cancellations.
As frustrating as the events seemed, they were only moments.
We tried to make the best of things, with laughter and silly games.
We did our best to sleep on the bumpy Greyhound bus.
As we finally rolled into New York City, I realized a huge truth:
Every moment – good or bad – is that way because of your reaction.
Thank goodness I had Kristen Chadha, Monica Chadha, and Anna Folckomer to remind me the good that comes from chaos.
I hope you can be the good call you make every day.
As always, it’s your call.
