Like any therapist, I have moments when I sit back and wonder if I am truly helping other people.
It’s like you need someone to wave a flag, just to make sure you are on the right track.
As soon as you put it out there that you need it, it finds you.
It happened to me this past weekend, while teaching NeuroKinetic Therapy (NKT) Level II in London.
A brilliant attendee asked for some guidance on her case after class.
As our discussion deepened, a crowd of people surrounded us.
She was so appreciative of the guidance that she was touched to a special degree.
She returned to day 2 of the seminar, telling me of her appreciation for taking the time to help her understand her findings.
She presented me with this flag, which hung in the Olympic stadium and had special meaning to her.
I received my flag that what I do matters to people.
Then I got the flag about how much she matters to others, as I saw her use her skills as a medic to protect a person in an emergency.
The flags are everywhere – if you learn to see them.
You don’t have to be presented with one to understand that you matter.
In the event that you can’t see it one day, keep staying your course.
Someone will show you the flags.
If you are moved by someone helping you, be the flag the helper may need to see that day.
You may just move someone to help others even more.
As always, it’s your call.
