Repeat after me.
What you earn is yours.
You can share the moments with others.
But what you earned is yours.
No one gave that to you.
There’s no magic program, pill, nor surgery.
You are the one who does the work.
No one gives it to you.
I have experienced great mentorship,
where my mentors took no credit for the facilitation they gave me.
And I’ve also experienced people who tried to state my success was solely because of their influence.
No one gives you the energy to lift that weight.
No one takes your tests.
There’s no magic secret.
Technique cues help.
Coaching helps.
Corrections help.
Programming helps.
Mentorship and guidance help.
But when it comes down to it, you will earn what you want to earn.
No one will give it to you.
Conversely, no one will be able to take it away.
If people are taking credit for your success, I urge you to politely exit their atmosphere.
No one is to take your credit.
But feel free to share your credit with those who influence you.
Success is a beautiful dish to share – but let no one hoard the dish.
You made it.
Surround yourself with people that remind you that the secrets to success lie within your yourself.
