Losing the Bell

Dooley Noted: 3/6/2016

Last weekend, I traveled for the 23rd time with a kettlebell.

This was the fourth time it was lost, and second time it wasn’t recovered.

How an airplane loses something that weights 44 pounds is beyond me.

Makes one think it’s not lost at all.

But I do know this.

My goals are powerful.

I never considered traveling without the bell.

And Qantas will be buying me a new one.

I stood at that service desk, realizing that I needed to work harder to have the kettlebell well-known.

I need any person in an airport that sees the bell to know exactly what it is.

The curious looks they give me need to stop.

This versatile tool must be known around the world.

Iron is not to be feared.

It is to be revered as the ultimate educator.

If I have to lose a bell to do it, then I suppose that is part of the goal.

As I file my claims and await my reimbursement, I’m reminded that the bell is worth any struggle.

I hope you don’t leave your goals when you travel – even if you have to modify them due to consequence.

And if you’re a kettlebell enthusiast, I hope you travel with it so we can educate the world.

As always, it’s your call.
