After the NKT seminar on Sunday, my fiancé came to pick me up at the gym.
Since many of the seminar attendees follow my social media posts, they already knew of Jonathan’s super human strength.
He took out a standard 60 Penny nail and bent it in half like it were a paper clip.
He then asked for volunteers, and many came forward to try to bend the nail.
The strong therapists and trainers took a shot of bending the penny. Many took several shots.
But no one was even able to bend the penny a millimeter.
Now, one might think this gives Jonathan a huge ego.
Truth is he has zero ego.
He showed them some technique pointers, as he bent it again as if it were a paper clip.
As people shook their heads and marveled at his ability, he was quick to bring them off the ledge.
He said, “Nobody failed.”
He talked about isometric power – along with the need to properly visualize yourself bending the nail.
“If your brain thinks you’ve already done it, then it’s just a matter of time. Every attempt gets you closer. So it’s not a failure.”
Isometric power is no easy feat.
Jonathan makes it look easy because he puts the time in, both with attempts and with visualization.
So, if you currently find yourself failing at a task, start picturing yourself succeeding.
Then, put in the reps with good technique.
Your body will eventually carry out what the brain has seen.
As always, it’s your call.
