Being strong is not just for vanity.
Being strong is good for everyone.
Strength can prevent injury.
You don’t have to bench press 300 pounds to be strong.
In fact, the big focus of your power can become situational strength.
Flipping a tire on a regular basis can translate into pulling heavy things off the ground to flip them.
Deadlifting builds overall pulling power that translates into full body strength from the ground up.
Pull-up power can come in handy if you ever have to pull yourself up and over to get out of danger.
Grip strength is a huge marker for longevity and often neglected in fitness training.
Pushing a sled comes in handy if you ever need to pushing a stalled car.
Stair-climbing on a regular basis helps train someone to do heavy-duty walking and climbing.
Sprinting regularly can sprint you right out of a dangerous situation
Farmers walks help prevent you from hurting yourself with your luggage or groceries.
Hopefully, your workouts already include training and situational strength.
If not, I hope you come by Catalyst SPORT to watch us in action- or to enjoy one of our classes that teach you situational strength.
As always, it’s your call.
