The Roughness

Dooley Noted: 4/2/2016

Last night was one of the toughest, most upsetting nights of my life.

It left me sick into today.

Jonathan and I endured a true test to our union, and we spent most of the day working on our issue.

In the grand scheme of things, it wasn’t much effort.

We put so much work into ourselves that we can go through anything together.

We didn’t complete each other. We did our hard work on ourselves and recognized our partner did the same.

Once, I asked my friend, Dr. Monica Chadha, how she knew her wife, Kristen, was The One.

She told me that anyone can love someone when things are going great.

But it’s the tough times that make or break a couple.

She said, “And there’s no one I would rather go through hell with than Kristen.”

I remembered that as I worked to communicate with the man of my dreams.

As we end our day with foot rubs and movies, we know we came right back to where we were – only stronger now.

After the roughness smoothed out, he looked into my eyes and said, “I’m the world champion lover of Kathy Dooley.”

I hope you ride out the roughness and come out a world champion lover of your partner.

As always, it’s your call.
