My Jonathan explained to me that every high performance engine in a car has a governor chip.
This chip prevents the engine from running itself past a point where damage can occur to the engine.
The engine may have enormous power past where your pedal sends it.
But that governor chip will kick in to level the power of that engine.
No damage may occur. But the risk is there. So the governor shuts it down.
You, too, have a governor chip.
You can do so much more than you think.
What you perceive is doable is only what you are allowed to perceive at the permission of your governor.
Today, I saw many amazing people from many walks of life come face to face with their governor.
They held steel in their hands and pushed over and over, threatened with the fact that we might not be able to bend it.
Sometimes, the steel dug into our hands.
The pains threatened to stop us, and the governor kicked in to protect us.
We recognized our governors and decided to keep pushing.
For me, the governor was overridden so I could bend my first 60 Penny nail.
For my Jonathan, the governor was overridden so he could bend a penny into a taco shape with his left index finger.
For my dear friend Christina, her sickness overrode her governor to rip a 1500+ page phone book.
And for my dear friend and patient, Emily, the governor was overridden to the point of exhaustion so she could bend her first carriage bolt.
You can let yourself be restricted by the walls in life, letting the governor help you to play it safe.
Or, when the time is right, you can override your governor to bust right through your walls.
