Today at the Immaculate Dissection (ID) seminar in London, an amazing realization occurred.
People came to brush up on anatomy, palpation, and functional movement with the core.
I found the thought process of simplicity to be counter-intuitive for these brilliant trainers and therapists.
They were quick to ask why the anatomy was important – before fully understanding how the anatomy moved.
They wanted to know how to assess – before even knowing fully how the anatomy moved through space.
And they aren’t alone.
People tend to skip steps toward full understanding, in place for a quick tool that’s guru-approved.
It could even be assessment-less, as long as the instructor is a smooth talker and good at business.
That’s one way to educate.
But we at ID just can’t do it that way.
You deserve to know how this anatomy feels when it moves.
You deserve to break down the pieces and feel it on yourself and on someone else.
Only then can you assess from a place of understanding to actually make the assessment viable.
If you don’t understand the anatomy, you’re not alone.
That’s why ID exists.
ID the problem, the weak link in your understanding.
Then, come to ID to learn some new assessments and correctives from a fresh view of understanding.
Choose ID or someone like us.
You’ll see that we never have to bad-mouth another technique nor prey on weaknesses.
We are too busy pushing you towards the understanding that you can apply to ANY assessment or technique.
Learn to be patient with making your dull spots a bit sharper.
We hope you sharpen your tools with us.
As always, it’s your call.
