Being That Person

Dooley Noted: 6/15/2016

My husband and I were not quite successful in our romantic relationships prior to each other.

We both tried with utmost diligence in relationships, never quite finding the perfect match.

We had the common goal within our separate searches:

“If you can’t find that person, then be that person.”

We worked hard to be the partners we thought we deserved in life.

Although that favor was not returned, we knew it was the only way to eventually find the one who would reciprocate.

Happiness is not the word for what we feel.

We both feel an assurance that all the dedication to oneself had the most probable outcome.

We found each other.

If you haven’t found your partner yet, for goodness sake don’t give up.

Be the partner that you want.

Live that way every day.

Through all your hardships, still work to be that partner.

You may get lonely. Be that partner anyway.

You may find that you attract that partner right to you.

As always, it’s your call.
