The Least I Will Love

Dooley Noted: 6/28/2016
I waited a long time to find the love of my life.
When you are offering counsel to those who have not found it yet, their wait time seems endless.
I know mine did.
I highly promote loving and caring for oneself in a way that is independent of any extrinsic forces – including the love from others.
And once that love grows for yourself, it spills out onto others.
Love grows when it is fed.
Now, I share that love for myself with my husband.
The day I met him is the least I will ever love him.
And yesterday, I loved him and myself even less than I do today
Every day, that love grows because we feed it.
If you start to love and appreciate yourself today, there’s no stopping the attractive forces of the universe from finding you someone who’s done the same for himself.
And when you meet that person, that day will be the least you’ve ever loved him or her.
I hope you love proactively, loving and feeding yourself so your love can grow and spill out to those you offer it.
And I hope today starts you off as the least you’ll ever love.
As always, it’s your call.
