Build Something

Dooley Noted: 7/15/2016
As I worked as a chiropractor in multiple facilities, I grew frustrated being someone’s employee.
They were wonderful environments – but they weren’t environments I helped build.
The culture was of someone else’s creation – and I couldn’t ignore how I wanted things to change.
Rather than complain about my job, I slowly but steadily helped build new cultures.
My colleagues and I built Catalyst SPORT, a rehab and training environment where the clinicians were strong and stable like coaches, and the coaches were brilliant.
My colleagues and I then built Immaculate Dissection (ID), a seminar series where anatomy was taught in a functional manner, with movement assessments and correctives.
Yesterday, Catalyst SPORT had its two year anniversary. Our culture is growing and its roots are deepening.

Today, the ID team flies to Calgary to premiere our Core Concepts seminar, just to finish it and fly to premiere two levels in Taiwan.

As I reflect this morning, I can’t imagine staying dissonant at my previous clinics.
And as we build our own seminar series, we create our own voice. We are building a culture around anatomy.
If you have a voice, use it.
If it doesn’t exist, build it.
It will ignite a fire of purpose that cannot be extinguished.
You’ll be surprised who might benefit – including you.
As always, it’s your call.
