ID I: Taiwan Premiere

Dooley Noted: 7/20/2016

Yesterday, we premiered Immaculate Dissection (ID) I: Core Concepts in Taipei, Taiwan.

I was nervous that important points may be lost in translation.

I couldn’t have been more wrong!

The class members were engaged, attentive, and inquisitive. And they even got our senses of humor!

The teaching team worked with the students, who were mostly physical therapists and a few trainers and massage therapists. (Unfortunately, Taiwan does not yet have chiropractic as a profession.)

Although we were told the culture may be a shy one, we didn’t see many signs of it!

They asked pertinent questions and got completely involved in learning the anatomy while palpating important landmarks.

They watched the anatomy move through space in eccentric and concentric positions, and they learned basic assessments to help them guide their releases.

As a teaching team, we kept standing back and commenting, “Wow – they really get it!”

After class, they were eager to take some photos and share their excitement for learning out style of teaching anatomy.

We can’t wait for your to experience ID as a way to make anatomy fun again.

As always, it’s your call.
