The Year in Review

Dooley Noted: 12/31/2013

As I started to look back on my year, I couldn’t shake how much had dramatically changed.

I went from being an associate doctor in someone else’s office, to my own entity, to planning to partner up with people that share my mission.

I went from an RKC to an SFG, training with heavier bells and stronger skill sets. Then, I peeled off all the weight to train bodyweight only. I’m still reeling by the dedication and skill sets of fitness professionals.

I met some greats, like Dave Whitley, Gray Cook, Brett Jones, and Stu McGill. I realized they are not gods of idolatry but normal men making extraordinary differences through their teachings.

I worked for 6 professional schools, teaching anatomy. I realized how I will never know enough anatomy but how much good comes from attempting to know enough.

I traversed the US and various parts of the world, seeking knowledge and truth as I helped share what I’ve learned.

I saw my entire family dynamic turned upside down when my father was diagnosed with cancer. I understand why people state that “cancer sucks.” It sucks the life of its afflicted – but it sucks together the family in support of who they love.

I’m a different, more confident, and all around better human than I was at the beginning of 2013.

2014 – let’s do this.
