The Envoy

Some people are great on their own, living for themselves and leading a great, self-servant life.

Others are equally great but have a knack for connecting other people with potential to be great.

I’ve had the honor of being guided by several envoys.

One of my fitness envoys was Ari Harris.

Ari is the owner of Pharaoh’s Army Fitness in Queens.

He had the guts and gusto to leave a job personal training with a major corporation. He started his own gym, on his terms.

Ari came to a strength seminar I hosted, where he bought an additional ticket for a friend.

That friend was Joe Boffi, the amazing athlete and coach that would one day become my business partner.

Before we knew it, Ari was challenging Joe, Jason Kapnick and I to a Deck of Death fitness challenge.

Something special happened that day.

I started to see what a fitness business could be like.

It could be an inspiring, fun time with people who share similar values.

It didn’t have to be an experience I tackled alone, either.

As Catalyst SPORT grows, I am inspired every day to be more like Joe, Jason, and Ari.

These are strong, capable humans that make fitness their business.

Also, they know it’s not enough to build themselves up. They know they affect the universe on a greater level by building up and connecting others.

If you are anywhere near Queens, make a trip to meet Ari Harris. He might change your life like he changed mine, with his yoda-like advice and lack of bull tolerance.

And if you are anywhere near midtown Manhattan, please make a point to visit us at Catalyst SPORT.

We picked the word “catalyst” in our name for good reason. We want to be your envoys.

As always, it’s your call.
