This past week, I spent several days overseas teaching my heart out.
Couple the intense teaching with distant travel, and it typically equates to a loss of strength.
As I performed my workout today, I was surprised at how what seemed easier last week actually seemed harder this week.
This is the fragility that is strength.
You can work years to develop your strength, and lose it more quickly then how it came.
But as fragile as strength is, it also has a good memory.
If you can lose the hubris and focus more on why you want to be strong, you can always return to the technique and dedication that got you the strength in the first place.
After all, the commitment to your training is what matters most.
The process is the result.
No matter what stressors hit you, don’t use them as excuses to not train according to your plan.
You may find you bounce from the stress and become resilient.
After all, true strength is rooted in mobility and stability.
You are not fragile – even though strength tends toward it.
Be resilient by continuing to go back for more strength – despite your circumstances.
As always, it’s your call.
